When we left the town the next day, we came to a gorge. There was a fifty foot land-formed bridge connecting our side to the other. So in single file line we slowly crossed the bridge. When we were about halfway across, when those wolf guys from way way back in the beginning starting pouring of of nowhere, from the side we came from. Emyrs immediately drew his sword and grabbed his shield, and as quickly as he did. He turn and ran straight into them all. He shouted back, "Save yourself, Fang," He paused. "This is my service to you may you light sanctification to others. Koen, what you and Aasera have, I will never have, nor do I wish to impede upon it. Take care of each other. All of you"
He cut through the first wave of the wolf men as he unleashed blasts of light and roared cries of battle.
By the time we made it across, Emyrs was overwhelmed. It, it was horrible, but he kept valiantly fighting. Casting aside his weapons he lunged into the air, and wings of light burst out, followed by two key-shaped weapons. (keys to heaven, its a Christian thing, there are two keys to heavens gate.) he arced back and plummeted downward into the fray once again, and as he slashed and cut, we saw his body overwhelmed by them. The bright valiant light, became dark and shadowy as he became enveloped in the shadows.
-wait WHAT!!?!?! They were lycans just a moment ago. uh... yeah, anyways-
I ushered the others into the forest on the other side, only looking back quick to see Emyrs. There he stood. All alone, but instead of his shining hauberk and white uniform. He wore a dark duster coat, with the hood pulled up over most of his face, but... his eyes shown through. Glowing, ominously out at me. The keys, now darker, sustained. He...just stood there, the shadows were completely swarming the other side now. I threw aside my cloak, planted my feet and positioned my hand flat against the air pointing at the bridge with my fingers spread. Focusing all my energy into the bridge, I conjured up an immense amount of fire, into the shape of a shuriken. Spinning it, i jumped into the air, turning a full 360 degrees (for torque power) and hurled it at the bridge. Shattering it.
And, still Emyrs just stood there, surrounded by these shadows, that were slowing closing in on him. I knew he would be killed. I didn't want to think it then, so I ran to catch up to Fang and Aasera.
